Off the Grid Cabin Camping

Rent one of our five cabins and get away from it all. During the day you can hike, fish ,horseback ride ( bring your own horse) or relax and read a book. Your cabin’s view provides a private landscape of trees and rolling vistas where at night you can enjoy the stars while listening to the sounds of the Bluff Region’s active wildlife- foxes, bobcat, coyotes,etc..

The cabins are true log cabins made from pine imported from Norway. Each is a single room with bed frames to accommodate your air mattress and sleeping bag. Cabins sleep up to 6. There is a table and chairs inside each cabin. For heating, you can use a small wood burning heating stove. Windows provide fresh air and flow of air in the summer.

Each cabin is on a 20 x 20 ft platform (deck), situated to give you the best view. The decks were all built with as little disruption to the landscape as possible. They create an outdoor living space and just off of the deck is a fire ring with a grill for cooking (wood available). Cabins each have a port-a-potty.

You provide your own food, water, light source, portable cook stove, air mattress and sleeping bag.

The adventure begins in getting to the cabin

How you get there is your choice. Ride you own horses: You are welcome to ride to your cabin. Upon arrival hitch them to the post, or use one of the portable corrals. Hike In: Getting “out there” is what the experience is all about. We will give you a map and the GPS coordinates. GPS coordinates are especially fun for those pioneer spirits coming from out of state. By Gator: We will take you to your cabin via a John Deere gator.
In all cases, we are available to transport your supplies to your cabin.

During the day you can enjoy the outdoor activities. Wrap up the day sitting on your deck or sitting around a camp fire. How about making a great camping meal: Baked Beans in a cast iron pot, Beef Stew over the fire;and ending with Peach Cobbler. Don’t know how to cook this way or don’t have cast iron cookware? Ask us!
